Angelica Fielding Munk 05/04/11 - 05/09/11

After five special days, our sweet baby Angelica has passed on. We laid her down to sleep between us around 11:30 pm, and she never woke up. Candice said that Angelica was breathing well and had good color around 2:15 am. We found that she had passed around 3:15 am. Angelica was pronounced dead at 3:55 am.

The funeral home picked up Angelica's little body within the hour. Among the multitude of tender mercies that we have experienced in the past few days was that the funeral director lived very close to our home, and had taken the infant carrier and our information home with him just yesterday. After the many blessings we have received in the past five days, I can't say that we were surprised that Heavenly Father was watching over this small detail as He has everything else.

Candice and I are happy. We feel that Angelica passed in the best possible circumstances. Heavenly Father blessed her in life and in death. We both agree that the past five days spent with Angelica were among the sweetest of our lives, and we look forward to seeing her again someday.

You don't know me. I'm a mission friend of Alainna's. In the past few months I have seen so many families loose little ones, from miscarriages and stillborns, to deaths like Angelica's and even a sweet eight-year-old boy being taken.

I can't help but feel that Heavenly Father is becoming more protective of his most precious angels. The world gets worse, and He doesn't want these sweet little ones to have to experience it.

My wish is that you'll find comfort in the Lord. The grief is strong, but the Spirit is stronger.

God bless.

Angelica truly is your angel now. Thank you for sharing the last 5 days with us, and allowing us all to see the tender mercies of the Lord. I love Angelica even though I was never able to hold her, and I can't wait to meet her again when you are reunited as a family. See you soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just left a comment on Alainna's blog telling her thanks for sharing your tender and spiritual experience with us, and I wanted to leave that message for you guys too. It is interesting how so many people can grow from one experience, and I am grateful for your shining example through hard time. I love that last picture posted of you and your two girls, such a sweet picture. Angelica is beautiful and I'm grateful you were able to spend so many precious moments with her on this earth. As you go forward with the things that have to be done now, take strength in your family, which I'm sure you will do. Those times "after" were the hardest for me but relying on the Savior and my family brought the greatest strength.

Heavenly Father loves your family so much...and loves Angelica so much. He chose your family for someone as special and loved as Angelica. He chose an eternal family so that his precious Angelica would have that opportunity to live again one day with her mother, her father, and her siblings. How special you all are! I have been thinking about you much over the past week or so and my thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you. Your experience has strengthened me and know your little family will be reunited again. These experiences just remind me of that family reunion we had with the theme of "No Empty Chairs." I'm sure Grandpa and others on the other side are watching over her until you can again. I love you, Candice.

You guys are loved by so many friends and family. Now you have a special angel who will always be with you. She will be with you now and always to watch over and protect you. Know that she chose your family to come to, just as Christ chose Mary to be his mother.
What a wonderful blessing. Prayers are with you. Love you.

You don't know me. I went to Europe with Kashann. I am so sorry for your loss. Three and a half years ago, our five year old son was killed in a backyard accident. He even had a cleft lip when he was born. Despite our sorrow, we are so grateful for the many tender mercies we experienced. We are so grateful for the plan of salvation and the Atonement which make it possible to deal with things like this in a healthy way. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
